New precision Stainless Steel M.O.A. Corp. replacement receiver for Ruger 10/22 rifle.

  •     Allows free-floating of barrel with optional second bedding point (rear lug - which requires additional inletting).
  •     Optional additional Rear Lug for improved bedding and accuracy.
  •     Will accept 3/4"x16 tpi threaded barrel up to 1" dia., or standard Ruger-type barrels up to .920 diameter.
  •     Rear cleaning hole to clean barrel from breech (requires bolt removal).
  •     Accepts all Ruger factory (and most aftermarket) 10/22 bolts, trigger assemblies and action parts.
  •     Drilled and tapped to accept standard 10/22 scope mounts.
  •     CNC machined with Bead Blasted Matte Stainless Steel Finish.
  •     Precision machined interior receiver rails to keep the bolt square with breech face.
  •     17 oz. Weight.
  •     Can be used to build .22 Long Rifle or .17 HM2 rifles.
  •     Great foundation for super accurate .22 rifle.
  •     Replace your alloy receiver with stainless steel for long life and greater accuracy!

  • To increase the life and accuracy of your 10/22 firearm (rifle or pistol), replace the weak aluminum alloy receiver with a strong stainless steel receiver, accurately CNC machined from a 17-4 stainless steel investment casting. It has more strength with closer tolerances and is a receiver that you will probably never wear out.

A second threaded lug is provided at the rear to allow the receiver to be securely fastened down in the stock and bedded. If the receiver is securely fastened in the stock with the second lug, the barrel can be free floated for ultimate accuracy. However, the receiver can be ordered without the second lug for complete drop-in compatibility.

A hole is drilled in the rear of the receiver so you can clean the barrel from the breech to avoid wear to the rifling at the muzzle. The bolt must be removed so the cleaning rod will slide through the action.

The barrel hole is reamed to .6875" to accept a standard Ruger slip-in barrel. It's also threaded (3/4-16 tpi), which allows a threaded barrel to be screwed securely in the receiver to do away with the wedge barrel retainer. It's your choice which barrel type to use.

Using this replacement receiver and a high quality, free-floated replacement barrel (Douglas and Green Mountain Barrels can be bought already threaded with the extractor groove cut), and using the rest of your factory parts, you should be able (if you do your part!) to shoot less than 1/4" groups at 50 yards - with high-quality target ammunition (bench-rest). Note: Heavy barrels require a larger barrel channel in the stock.

With the help of a fixture (which can be rented from M.O.A. Corp), the replacement receiver (with the second lug) can be installed working at your kitchen table, with little gunsmithing skill required. Without the second lug, the receiver is a drop-in replacement.

You can easily convert your 10/22 at far less cost than most expensive custom guns. It will then shoot just as well (or better!) than the expensive custom guns, and last far longer than the aluminum alloy receiver.

According to BATF rules, it's legal to make a rifle out of a pistol, but not to make a short barrel pistol out of a rifle! Since these are brand new receivers, never assembled, they can be legally be assembled into a 10/22 pistol - or a rifle. Ruger has done the same thing with their new .22 Charger pistol! We can invoice your receiver as a pistol and you can choose to make a pistol or a rifle.
Keep in mind that some states have more severe restrictions on handguns.....

    The Fine Print:
    1. All guns are sold as collector's items only, with no guarantee of shooting condition. Have any gun checked by a qualified gunsmith before shooting. Collector guns are often full of old, dried grease, and will not function unless properly cleaned and lubricated. Use common sense. Shooting a gun with grease in the bore can destroy the gun.
    2. Orders must be paid in advance. We do not ship C.O.D. We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express, but prefer a guaranteed form of payment (cashier's check, money order, etc.).
    3. Personal & business checks are accepted and must clear (about 3 weeks) before we ship your order. No refunds until your check has cleared.
    4. Exports: We are unable to export modern firearms directly, but will ship to a licensed export agent - in the United States. Books and Antiques may be exported directly. However, since customs clearance or administrative procedures in other countries are beyond my control, once I ship the goods, all export sales are final. No refunds on exports.
    5. Returns: Customary 3 (business) day return privilege if returned in the exact same condition as shipped. Please visit my website for details of Terms of Sale. No refund if parts are lost, or if it has been fired, damaged, or altered in any way. If you lose parts, change parts, damage, alter, or shoot it, you own it.
